The Chinese version of this website is at www.npo.org.tw, while the English version is at www.tpic.org.tw. The website in its Chinese version was created to serve as a platform for Taiwan NPOs to share information about their activities, and to keep NPO workers and academics updated about latest news in the nonprofit world, at home and abroad. The website is continually updated and is also linked to similar web sites abroad in order to share information and provide nonprofit organizations with the tools and the knowledge necessary to improve their work. With an average of 4,000 visitors per day and some 6,000 subscribers to the Weekly Newsletter, it is one of the most successful nonprofit website in Taiwan.

NPO Book website

NPOBook is a new web project of the Himalaya Foundation. Many nonprofit organizations and research institutes publish high quality books, journals or audio and video material but, unlike traditional commercial publishing houses, they lack channels to promote their publications to the general public. The NPO Book website (www.npobook.org.tw) serves as a platform where nonprofit organizations and research institutes can offer their publications, either in their printed version or in their electronic version.

GIVE.ORG Online Donation Website

The Give.Org Online Donation Website (www.give.org.tw) is Taiwan’s first "click donation" website, borrowing from a concept already popular in the United States. It aims to play a pioneering role in developing online fundraising in Taiwan by working in partnership with both nonprofit organizations and corporations. The Give.Org Online Donation Website operates on the very simple principle that for every visitor's click on a nonprofit organization’s banner featured on the website, followed by another click on a corporation's banner, this corporation pledges to make a donation to the NPO. Through this website, we hope to achieve the following goals: provide NPOs with a new channel for fundraising and help them reach out and introduce their work to a broader, more diversified audience, potentially establish cooperative links between the corporate sponsors of the website and the NPOs that are featured, encourage corporate philanthropy, raise the public’s awareness about local NPOs and the work they accomplish, and finally encourage giving habits among visitors to the website, where people will progressively directly donate to the nonprofit organizations.

NPO Digital Village

The NPO Digital Village (www.e-village.org.tw) is the result of the cooperation between HP, the United Way Taiwan, the Himalaya Foundation and the Taipei Municipal Government. The Digital Village was established with the purpose of improving the ability to use information technology (IT) of Taiwan's NPOs, allowing them to increase their organizational efficiency, enhance the quality of the service that they provide, and thus strengthen their capacity to respond to social needs.
